Building Hope Project

Between June 19th- July 4th, 2019, a Building Hope Project team of seven traveled throughout Uganda to work with our cohort of students at Kiira Primary School on developing their ability to lead, solve challenges, and understand local (and complicated) problems. Along with students at Kiira, BHP collaborated with other schools, churches, and organizations in a grassroots attempt to further build the capacity of young people in different regions to be empowered to lead, while learning from other effective organizations about their best practices serving young people.

Ultimately, our mission is to go beyond conventional volunteering and utilize ongoing, strategic partnerships in communities where a high impact can be made by helping students find and hone their voice to lead.
